"I started at Lauterbach, Borschow & Co. in June 2008 and participated in their Summer Audit Internship Program. During my internship, I had the opportunity to familiarize myself with the Firm. Everybody was always very pleasant, helpful and very professional. This environment convinced me that it was the perfect place to start my career.
After my summer internship, I went back to New Mexico State University for one more semester in order to finish my Masters in Accountancy. I returned to the Firm in January 2009 as a full-time Audit Associate. The past nine months at Lauterbach, Borschow & Co. have been a great learning experience. I truly believe Lauterbach, Borschow & Co. has given me an excellent opportunity to succeed as an accountant.

"I joined the Firm after working for a small local accounting office for one year. My desire to seek fresh challenges led me to a large local Firm with an excellent reputation in the community. At Lauterbach, Borschow & Co. I gained a solid foundation, invaluable experience and the confidence to tackle any obstacle. After a year and a half, I left El Paso for the BIG CITY. I worked in public accounting and then as a controller for several companies, from non-profit to publicly traded. I truly believe that I excelled in each job because of what I had learned at Lauterbach, Borschow and Co.
Almost twenty years later I found myself back in El Paso and on the other side, a client. I did not consider any other Firm. Because of my personal experience and their continued standing in the community, I knew there was nobody else who could provide the level of expertise and personal attention I wanted. Then, the company I was working for relocated to Arizona but, my relationship with Lauterbach, Borschow & Co. was not over. I rejoined the staff. Many of the same people I worked with over 20 years ago are still here. That says a lot about the firm. I face new challenges this time around and I look forward to each one. It has been and continues to be a professionally fulfilling experience.

"In the days approaching my internship, I was nervous about how well I would perform and how I would be received by my co-workers. I had only met one or two of the staff and the two partners by whom I was interviewed. By the end of the first day, however, I had realized that Lauterbach, Borschow and Co. is a great work environment that was going to provide me with a learning experience that is difficult to find elsewhere.
The entire first week of my internship was an orientation aimed at getting me familiar with the various software applications and administrative procedures used at the Firm. By the second week, I was working on tax returns and dealing with clients. Although orientation was over, every one of the staff accountants and partners were more than willing to answer a question or point you in the right direction. The atmosphere at Lauterbach, Borschow & Co. has always been one of support. Everyone is willing to help and do what it takes to get the job done.
Every day at this Firm is a learning experience. The knowledge I have gained since I started only seven months ago has been tremendous. For anyone interested in public accounting this is a great place to start your career and see what the profession is all about.
